Goals and Rankings

We have reached 53% of our goal which puts our team at #2!!  The even better news is that I am only $255 away from the top fundraiser for Dallas, Tx in 2011!!  I plan on taking that title and keeping it!  Our team goal of $5,000 is just our first goal.  That is the goal that we want to reach before Christmas.  After we smash that goal we are shooting even higher.  My personal account is only $600 away from the fundraising minimum for the walk.  I would love to reach that goal before the 2010 walk which is coming up in just a couple of weeks.  I had no idea that we would have this kind of success raising money for breast cancer research!  What generous good-hearted people I have met along the way!

One thing I've noticed is that everyone I meet out flocking has been so kind and so excited about helping the cause.  I keep thinking as I'm flocking about how great the neighborhood is and what great people live there.  It's of course the address that was requested and not the person that ordered the flocking, but I still get such a warm feeling about the people that live there.  :)  I think God is really working on my heart.  I have also noticed since I started this process that I no longer care about the trivial things that I worried about before.  I have such a desire to do good and let the other "stuff" lay wait for another day.   It is a refreshing feeling.  I am more Christ-like and loving.  Good stuff I tell ya!
